Every tool here runs inside your browser, and the library that does that work cannot encrypt a PDF. Rather than hand you a file that looks protected but is not, we have taken this one down until it can be done properly.
The rest of the toolkit is unaffected — merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, page numbers and both conversions all work as before.
